Jase + Bec
Jase and Bec’s quirky and intimate wedding at Wolf Lane featuring our Elegant Pearl Drop Earrings.
A JIRE Woman is to you…
A woman with her own unique taste in style and not afraid to be different!
Describe your wedding day look…
Quirky and intimate, we were married in a cocktail lounge called Wolf Lane with only forty people in attendance. The decor of the bar included antique furniture and collectibles. We simply added candles and fairy lights as we didn’t want to take away from the fantastic job Wolf Lane have done decorating and making their lounge / bar area unique.
How did he propose?…
At Kings Park, things however did not go to plan as there was meant to be a walk around and it was raining on the day. Jason still went ahead and proposed from the lookout in the car, so no kneeling, we then went indoor skydiving in the afternoon which was a blast. It might not have been Jason’s vision but it was still a fun day!
What is it you loved about your wedding day jewellery?
JIRE supplied me with diamond pearl drop earrings, I looked in the shops and couldn’t find anything that I loved. When I saw the pearl earrings, I loved the classic look, and they had a bit of sparkle as well from all the diamonds. They complimented my vision for myself on the day perfectly.
How did you feel in your jewels and dress on the day?
I had last minute dress doubts, but once I had my jewels, hair and makeup done, I felt beautiful and my doubts turned to excitement to be walking down the isle.
What was the most stressful part to planning?…
My bridal party and family live interstate, I am close with my sisters and often bounce ideas off of them, it was hard planning and organising my big day in a different state and hoping I got it right, we did a lot of pictures back and fourth instead.
I also badly sprained my ankle on my hens night, it still hadn’t healed by the time the wedding came around, so finding a pair of flat shoes and giving away the dream of beautiful high heels I envisioned was a bit of a stress, but I could still walk down the isle and that’s what mattered most!
What made your day extra special?…
Having my father in law there for my husband, he had just finished his chemo for cancer treatment, every part of me is so thankful he was able to attend our wedding, give a toast and be with my husband on the most important day of his life.
The funniest moment on your wedding day was?…
We played the shoe game later in the evening, sounds tacky, but it provided loud laughs from everyone in the room.
Any last advice or words of wisdom that you can share…
I’m very much a go with the flow kind of person in my everyday life and really wanted to carry this mantra into my wedding planning and on the day. The best advice I can give is even if it doesn’t look exactly how you envisioned its important to remember why you are getting married in the first place and not let the little things stop you from remembering that! Easier said than done sometimes though!
